Descrizione del progetto

Our project is meant to find out the distinctive and peculiar elements of maritime towns, and their linkage to the Sea. It addresses students from the age of 14 to 18 (secondary school). We will make use of a bottom up approach, to identify groups of citizens, sailing clubs, environmental groups for the preservation of the oceans, environmental education programs. And a top down enquiry will be useful to grasp more structured elements such as Regional organizations in charge of water protection (Arpaer in Cesenatico), Capitaneria di Porto (Port Authority), Maritime Museum, municipality dedicated services. The Sea is an economic resource linked to tourism, fisheries, gas and minerals extraction. So there will be a series of networks also linked to these aspects. The goal of our boys and girls will be to map networks, structures, associations and reconstruct their functions in the maritime town they live in.
